Match Report
Yarm School 2nd XI vs  Silcoates
On: Wednesday, 06 Dec 2017
Venue: Away

The girls started well putting pressure on Silcoates from the first whistle and kept them in their own half for the first 5 minutes. This was ended by a quick break away pass by the opposition and we then sustained some pressure in our own D for a few minutes. We struggled to get the ball out from defence as Silcoates surrounded the hit outs well but once we played the ball wide and attacked at pace the girls were soon creating chances again. It was a closely fought match and in the second half we managed a goal from a cross from Lucy Jones which deflected of the oppositions stick. After this Silcoates piled on the pressure and Katherine Dods kept us in the lead with save after save. We missed a couple of chances in the second half but the final score was 1-0 t Yarm. A great way to end the season especially for our Leavers.
