Venue: at Home

Yarm 6 St Olaves 0

The Under 12 boys are going from strength to strength with their performances and this was another impressive display against a good St Olaves side. Amma Soni played his first game in goal for the A Team and although he had little to do, on the odd occasion he was called into action, he dealt it brilliantly. Max Jones continues to grow as a defender as does Freddie Butler and another A Team debutant Tom Graham looked very much at home in midefield and defence. Man of the Match and captain Junior Newton was superb in midefield as he continues to develop his game and some of his tackling was straight out of the morning indoor training that was held before school. Charlie Thompson was another key player and at one stage ran through the entire opposition defence almost rounding the keeper to what would have been the goal of the season so far, however he was able to score another 2 goals. Roman Andrews continues to show some excellent stick skills on the right hand side and was able to convert a fabulous short corner hit. Nathan Muzawazi is proving a natural in front of goal and scored another 3 to add to his already impressive tally for the season. This team is proving the value of hard work and practice as the extra time they are putting in at lunchtimes and after school is really beginning to pay dividends.
