Match Report
Yarm School Boys-U15A vs  ESMS Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools
On: Saturday, 11 Mar 2017
Venue: Away

In Yarm's second game of the tour they came up against a Stew-Mel team that was preparing for the Scottish National Finals the following weekend. The opposition played a well structured game of hockey that had Yarm under pressure for long periods, but again it was Yarm first off the mark with a goal from Alex Greenaway. With our defence being pulled to and fro, gaps opened up that saw Yarm fall 3-1 behind in the first half. However, the lads emerged from half time looking to play more of the game in the attacking half. This they did with Sol Kench getting much better service allowing him to pull it back to 3-2, before a Matthew Beck short corner drew the scores level. With Yarm's tails now up, the boys went looking for the winner - unfortunately a Stew-Mel counter saw the away team defence overrun for the team to fall behind once again. With minutes on the clock, Yarm pulled their keeper, but even the extra outfield player was not enough for them to find the eqauliser leaving the game 4-3 to Stewart's Melville.
