Match Report
Yarm School Girls-U13A vs  Barnard Castle
On: Saturday, 16 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

This was a promising start from the U13 team who were unlucky at the end to concede a couple of goals at the end. After a good bit of end to end play the first goal came from Poppy Gratton giving Yarm the initial lead. Barnard Castle took some early opportunities from free hits to then gain two goals which left the score 3-1 at half time. Yarm lifted their game in the second half with players getting more used to their positions and responsibilities. A well executed finish from Belle Woodhead brought the score to 3-2 with Phoebe Richardson scoring a well deserved goal to bring it back to 3-3. All to play for at this point, but Barnard Castle took their scoring opportunities well and managed to score two further goals in the last minutes of the game. Final Score 3-5.

Overall a good team performance with everyone working hard. Lots to work on and lots more matches to enjoy and practise. A great game of end to end hockey.

POM : Belle Woodhead for her controlled well executed 1-1 finish and goal.
