Match Report
Yarm School Girls-U14A vs  Cundall Manor
On: Thursday, 12 Oct 2017
Venue: at Home

Yarm U14 Girls took to the field on the 12th of October , in front of a small but loud home crowd. The girls, still riding on the high of an unbeaten season were keen to get stuck into the game and challenge themselves against a strong Cundall Manor team. The first five saw Yarm take a back seat and find their rhythm within the game, once we gained a strong possession of the ball, Yarm pressed high and kept the pressure on the Cundall Manor midfield and defence for the remainder of the half. A poor control touch from the Cundall Manor goalkeeper allowed Lexi Speight to pick up the ball and slot it in over the goal line to bring Yarm to 1-0 ahead at half time. Following a constructive half time talk, Yarm knew they had to get more goals to kill the game dead. A high press throughout saw Yarm create many good scoring opportunities and these were latterly converted by Amelia Allen and Lotti Dean. As the full time whistle blew, Yarm U14s Girls retained their unbeaten record, thus extending their win streak to 10! Well done to everyone involved this half term. - Mr V
