Match Report
Yarm School 1st XI vs  Egglescliffe School
On: Monday, 09 Oct 2017
Venue: Away

The first 5 minutes were certainly forgettable. We looked nervous and couldn't string any asses together. When Egglescliffe took the lead I wasn't surprised and looked beaten. However for the rest of the half we played really well. The defence looked secure, Pally had a blinder at left half and she linked really well with Susie and Phoebe who created chance after chance. We lacked composure in the D though and put shot after shot at the Gk who coped easily with these. It was a shame we couldn't capiltilise on these 20 minutes of domination. Second half was very even and both teams created chances throughout. When Egglescliffe went 2-0 it looked like a tall order to get back into the game until Susie set off on a mazy run beating player after player drawing the Gk ad tucking it in near post. With that came some belief and we pressed high up the pitch. When another shot was saved it rebounded deep and Lois picked it up and stuck it beautifully bottom corner with the equaliser. A draw was certainly deserved and it was a cracking game.

2-2 POM-Phoebe White .
