Yarm School 2nd XI vs  Scarborough College
On: Wednesday, 13 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

This was a largely dominant performance by the team who showed their quality within the first two minutes of the game. Lois MacKey continued her goalscoring form, tucking away a well worked short corner to put us 1-0 up. The quick start filled us with confidence and the game quickly settled with us pinning Scarborough back into their own half for much of the first half. We made the pressure count and won a further two short corners following some fantastic attacking play from Lucy Skelton and Emma Dods. Lois Mackey completed a first half hat-trick, by converting them both, to give us the 3-0 scoreline our performance deserved. Scarborough put up a fight in the second half and started to create some dangerous moments of their own, most of which were snuffed out by Lucy Jones who put in another impressive display at centre half. Our defence held strong and the increased attacking intent by Scarborough left more spaces for us to exploit in attack. We finished the game on the front foot, with Lois tucking away her fourth goal of the game to round off an impressive 4-0 win.
