Yarm School Girls-U13B vs  Queen Marys
On: Wednesday, 22 Nov 2017
Venue: at Home

A disappointing result for this team in the end after Queen Marys fought back from 3-0 down to tie the game 3-3. We started the game the stronger of the two sides and quickly took the lead thanks to a close range finish from Ava Lane. We dominated the possession and were creating chance after chance. Queen Marys could not get the ball out of their half and we scored our second and third in quick succession courtesy of a controlled finish into the bottom corner from Immy Slack, and another close range finish from Ava. We were seemingly in total control at this point and we had chances to extend our lead even further, with Sophia Jones and Ava putting shots wide of the post. Our defence had had little to do up until then, however Queen Marys had a rare attack and managed to win a short corner. After a bit of a scramble in the D, we failed to clear the ball and they scrambled the ball over the line to make the score 3-1. Queen Marys took confidence from this and managed to score again shortly before half time.

Having selected a big B team squad we had a large number of changes in the second half, which made it difficult for us to getting going. Queen Marys looked much more comfortable in possession and found the equaliser after a scrappy bit of play in the D resulted in Queen Marys slotting home the loose ball. We did manage to pick up our intensity but we weren't able to add to the scoreline meaning the game ended 3-3.
