Match Report
Yarm School Girls-U13A vs  Scarborough College
On: Tuesday, 26 Sep 2017
Venue: at Home

The U13A team were highly motivated for this game and keen to try out their skills in moving the ball around the pitch more. It did not take long for them to reap the benefits, with Ruth Fletcher moving forward to meet an excellent pass into the circle which resulted in a lovely goal in the opening few minutes. This took the opposition by surprise and gave Yarm a really boost at the start of the game.

Positionally everyone in the team played a key role in a very successful first half - staying wide to receive a pass and looking up when receiving a pass; noticing all of the options open to them next. It was lovely to watch and resulted in some fantastic goals and good finishes from Phoebe, Belle, Ruth, Olivia and Poppy.

The second half saw a rotation of players and further goals from Ava Brule-Walker. All players demonstrated their ability to both defend and attack which is very important. Time on the ball allowed the team to practise many of the skills from lessons and training and it was great to see them work hard to put these in place.

A very promising performance - well done to all those who played.
