Match Report
Yarm School Boys-U12B vs  Barnard Castle School
On: Saturday, 09 Sep 2017
Venue: Away

The majority of the boys in Saturday's B team had never played a competitive game of rugby in their lives. You would not have believed this if you had been watching! Despite being slightly depleted in numbers, the lads were off to a flying start, with some very promising phases of play, eventually moving the ball out to the wing where Wildridge was able to find a gap in the Barney defence and score the season opener. With strong tackling from both sides it was a while before we broke through again but it was Deane who scored our second try on the opposite wing. Trys followed from Wood and Desics; Wildridge and Deane also scoring their second in the last few minutes. There was some great tackling from Carr and Wood but Barney were relentless in their attack. The game finished 6 a-piece but the boys should be proud of their first outing representing their school.
