Match Report
Yarm School 1st VII vs  National Schools County Round
On: Saturday, 07 Oct 2017
Venue: Away

The U19 and U15 squads played on Saturday in the County round of the National schools netball cup. The U19's only had one match against Barnard Castle as the other teams that had earlier entered the competition withdrew. The match was very one sided and it was clear that Yarm were the stronger side. The girls played very well and defended solidly throughout the match, stopping Barney from scoring time after time. The final score was 24-1 to Yarm. The girls now go through as County champions and will play in the regional round at Sports Central at the end of January. Congratulations to all the girls.

The U15's had a more difficult task ahead of them playing 6 matches in total. The girls battled hard and in a competition where they are a year young entering (some two years young) they played very well winning 3 and losing 3. They came 4th in the tournament with the top 3 teams drawing on points. Next year will be different. All of the girls need to be very proud of their efforts.
