Match Report
Yarm School Boys-U14A vs  Teesside High School
On: Friday, 03 Nov 2017
Venue: at Home

Yarm started well and were competing well against a physically larger team but, despite some robust goalkeeping from James Thomson, they unfortunately fell behind against a team that broke well. Immediately Yarm increased the speed of passing and their superior movement led to some slick short, controlled passing in the D which gave a tap in at the far post for Tom Crack (1-1). Surging runs by Alistair Cropp and incisive longer balls from James Beck kept the Teesside team pinned down and it was no surprise when another fast paced injection from Beck was converted by Crack through the subtlest of deflections past a strong goalkeeper (2-1). An inability to make their pressure count, a further goal disallowed for a short corner instead, and some late breaks by Teesside combined to lead to some jangling nerves but Yarm held on for a good win against strong opposition.
